Motorola ES400 – Motorola not completely out of the Windows Mobile game yet?

PhoneArena has been tipped off to Sprint’s upcoming 2010 playbook, and it includes a rather intriguing Motorola device – the ES400.

PhoneArena claims the device apparently runs Windows Mobile, and given that Motorola has disavowed Windows Mobile until 7, the smartphone could very well be running Windows Mobile 7.

I work in the EMB business and have seen a datasheet for this unit. It will have Windows 6.5, Touch screen, GPS, GPRS,HSDPA, Wifi, 3MP camera & barcode scanner and a low IP raiting. Retail price will be around £450-£500. it is due for release June/July

I've got a Motorola datasheet for it (from our resellers), and the screenshots show Windows Mobile 6.5. Not conclusive, but a good indicator.

It's running an ARM1136EJS-MSM7627 256 ram. WM6.5. 1540 mA battery.

This is a very business oriented rugged device with VGA screen Windows Mobile 6.5.3, fingerprint and barcode scanner. Basically Symbol like data entry device built into a ruggedized smartphone. Pretty unique device if you ask me, provided you need one.

guys this is entreprise device ( semi rugged) for profesionel use from entreprise division and not public home use ( mobile phone division)

This is indeed a commercial device. Had a demo today by a vendor that supplies Scanning equipment like the Motorola MC9090.

Aimed a mobile workers, such as delivery men and service engineers. The emphasis is on the bar-code scanning functionality.
