Actually you might have missunderstood me on this. One with LM you can setup multiple folders. I have this on my phone now and when I want to push something to my phone I just throw the file on my desktop into that folder and it is synced to my phone to that folder. My pictures are synced to another folder and only ever shoot upto the cloud as I never add pics to that folder in the cloud. I looked over this and LM wins for one major reason, you either need to purchase a server to run FTP or have your PC running 24/7 with a FTP program running(which isn't the safest thing in the world to do). With LM your files are always availible, and at anytime you can sync or push files to friends and family. I just find LM much much easier and less of an issue. As for phone backups all you need is your info and that is where MyPhone steps in. Also searching is done VIA the desktop(for LM) and the online website for both LM and MyPhone. I'm not an MS junky but I am a major fan of easy, and both those apps are mint, easy and just plain work. Thanks and please keep throwing APPS out there cause I have found a ton usefull.

Well, nice, but i wish to find the very same tool that would be able to send/sync files with my home computer or laptop through Bluetooth as soon as they're close enough (when entering home for example)...

What I like about this app, as mentioned, is the versioning.

As an activesync user some years ago, I am incredibly mistrustful of two way syncing destroying my valuable data, but I appreciate having a backup copy of important files somewhere in the cloud.

As mentioned, whats nice about this solution, coupled with Gmail for example, is a searchable backup of your data with multiple old versions, so if a syncing disaster should happen you can always go back and retrieve your data.

I prefer Live Mesh. Live Mesh not only automatically uploads my pics/documents when taken or created I can also send files to my phone automatically without syncing and without teathering. Live mesh can also be managed from any computer anywhere in the world with a nice interface, not a crappy outdated FTP programs interface. Also you can add friends to any folder and they will receive the files as well so photos/docs can be shared easily. The only drawback is the 5gig limit for online storage, but folders do not need to be synced to the "online desktop" so that limit can be avoided. Also did I mention that the program is free!!
