Anyone doesn’t like the new Xbox Live background?

    • http://www.twitter.com/wixostrix WixosTrix

No. I dislike it in email and I’ll dislike it here.

Does anybody know what’s new on Zune ?

Will we able to create and manage playlists?
    Lastfm scrobbling ?

    Thank you

    • http://www.facebook.com/nizzon Johan Nilsson

      Exactly.
The Zune player is lacking lots of stuff.

Track listed by tracknumber, not by letter, stupid.
      Shuffle for albums
      Last.fm scrobbling

      • Anonymous

Theirs already album shuffle when you tap the album art in the “now playing” screen…theirs also Like and Repeat options. However, the background artist picture should also have the same 20% black added to it that the lock screen wallpaper has…trying to read artist bios can get very eye straining. We also need the Zune HD’s screen saver option that would kick in after a minute.

I messaged @Zune_Leaker over on twitter about adding Last.fm scrobbling. I’ve now only been using Zune for podcasts and syncing and Media Monkey for music due to the lack of scrobbling.

They added new function ir screen-timeout. Now we will be able to set up to never

    • Anonymous

There is already a “never”option for non-AMOLED screen phones. AMOLED screen gets screen burn-in: that’s why the option is missing on those phones.

I have an LG Optimus 7, and I have always had is option (Its a regular LCD though)

Skydrive should be on the top of the list. not everybody will be using 365 or SharePoint
    edit… minor… I know

    • http://twitter.com/TheBigM72 Samil Shah

Skydrive support is a definite – Joe Belfiore announced it (was it MWC?) alongside twitter in the people hub.

There’s other mentions of skydrive in posts on wmpoweruser and other places.

I really like it!!! I luv WP, and its sad not to have some features that is key for some people. Once mango is out i will be even more confident to get people to buy WPs.

    I need a Mango

  • http://www.facebook.com/nizzon Johan Nilsson

I want black theme for office and especially mail. Why is it force to white even though I have chosen dark background?
    It feels incosistent.

    • Anonymous

Many html emails as designed for a white background. If you would have a black background and black fonts, everything would be black. Thats also true for word documents. They could make the menu in the theme color and the rest in white but that would break the design.

But it is consistent…with actual web and client emails. When you go to yahoo or Outlook to view an email, the background is white by default. Metro isn’t just about simplifying things on the phone itself but also providing an experience on the phone thats consistent with what you already use everyday.

Microsoft previously said that Mango will bring networking sockets. This would then allow both Voice-over-IP services, as well as real-time multi-player gaming, both of which need sockets.

I’d really prefer that Microsoft issues a more exact date for its release, as my worry is that Microsoft will release it late in the year, and then the carriers might delay it a few more months after that.

  • Jason

I’m not sure I like the new background for the Games hub. I like that they are making the experience between WP7 Xbox and Xbox 360, for it feels incomplete with too much white. I’d also like them to bring back the orange Office stripe they had in the Office hub in the beta. I hope the ugly tiles in the Office hub are temporary too; they look terrible and they should keep it with a list+icon. Much nicer that way.

That aside I am very excited to hear of so many new things coming to WP7, it is shaping up to be a truly momumental update. (I hope they have VPN support…)

I wonder, due to their recent acquisition, if they’ll integrate Skype directly into WP7 like they are with FB/WLM chat.

Great. So many additional features. They may end up calling it WP8.
Now it’s time for Nokia to step up it’s game and match Galaxy S2′s hardware and I shall seriously consider jumping from my Galaxy S..

Why is it that Microsoft refuses to comment on sales figures. When the happycommenting sales of children’s product Kinect???? Have they not an obligation to report the numbers????

    • rsgx

      Nope, they don’t.

What’s it to you, dumbass? Go troll somewhere back to Engadget.
