Nokia 900 (Ace) Specs Revealed?

The Nokia Blog just received a picture of what seems to be an official specs sheet for the rumored Nokia 900 (Ace). If the rumored specs are true, the Nokia 900 will be by far the most impressive Windows Phone yet.

These specs confirm the previously rumored 1.4 GHz single-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, and large 1800 mAh battery. The more impressive and new specs include 1 GB of RAM (which the Nokia Sabre is also rumored to have), and either 16 or 32 GB of storage space, making this the first Windows Phone to have 32 GB of storage. The screen is also a ClearBlack AMOLED display according to the picture, which is basically equal to Samsung’s Super AMOLED screens. Also, if the picture is true, the Nokia 900 will have NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Nokia 900 (Ace) is rumored to be released Q1 2012 on AT&T. Other country release dates are currently unknown. Full specs…

And for you slowpokes, too. It’s an old fan concept.

son of a bitch, i really really wanted it to look like that… what are the possibilities of Nokia buying that form factor and using it?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1300735256 Andrew Bares

A design concept by a quite established design company… could it be possible Nokia hired them or bought their concept?

      • Anonymous

Yanko Design is a design blog and not to offense the designers here, but I wouldn’t exactly call Mindsailors an established design company, if you go by their clients. Nokia is not listed as a client.

    • Impartial

gosh you’re good man, well spotted

@Freeway64…Do you honestly think that just because a fan has a concept wishlist of specs that an oem has no way of implementing them on their actual devices?

      • Anonymous

First of all, it’s about the design. “The Nokia Blog received a picture of what seems to be an official specs sheet for the rumored Nokia 900 (Ace)”. If the design isn’t legit, how big are the chances that the coupled specs on that so called “spec sheet” are real? Second, Windows Phone can’t manage more than 512 MB RAM, as far as I know. And another one, Windows Phone doesn’t support Bluetooth 4.0. Implementing the hardware would be a waste of money. It’s basically the giveaway for this fake.

        • Malcolm Williams

Nokia is the exception. As wpcentral previously reported, everything mynokiablog received, wpcentral had it.
And for the gig of ram, its something I’ve been waiting for a long time.

Remember this has been reported as rumor before but the credibility has gone up quite a bit.

          • Anonymous

Nokia might be the exception in the future, but not with the first wave of phones. If your read that wpcentral article again, you’d notice that everything wpcentral had, came from mynokiablog.
“My Nokia Blog has received an anonymous tip containing specifications of
a high-end Windows Phone handset from Nokia. The device is the “Nokia
Ace” and is rumoured to be announced at the upcoming Nokia World in
            London later this month.”

Again, if the design isn’t legit, then the spec sheet isn’t either.

What about the Apollo update? Can this not raise the RAM cap and Bluetooth? Apparently Apollo’s in the works for a while so couldn’t the 900 have a chance at being real?

That’s just my opinion and I could be very wrong but that’s what I think anyway!

          • Anonymous

Apollo will definitely change this, since it’s the next major update, but it’s still 9-12 months away from being released. The Ace wouldn’t get it sooner.

And don’t worry about wording your opinion. There’s nothing wrong with that.

It’s must be a fake. because it’s just a fan concept.

  • http://www.gadgeterija.net Denis Jelec

    Andrew, ’tis a fake.

  • http://twitter.com/efjay01 Ef Jay

And its not the first 32GB device, the Dell Venue Pro had a limited run 32GB version.

    • http://www.facebook.com/jeanaugustin.beugre Jean Augustin Beugré

The Fujitsu IS12T had a 32GB of internal memory too…

      • http://twitter.com/efjay01 Ef Jay

Correct. The level of accuracy in the reporting on this site is abysmal.

  • Anonymous

Fake?  I’m trying to understand.  What do those concepts from a fan have to do with this pamplet?

    • http://twitter.com/Pieter_Kroon Pieter Kroon

Well, the third concept is identical to the one on specs sheet… :)

      • Anonymous

Actually, if you look at the edge of the device in the two pics, the lighting on the trim is entirely different, and there are slight differences in the curvature at the top and bottom.  That doesn’t mean this isn’t a fake, but don’t use the word “identical” when it doesn’t apply.  :)

A better argument for fake could be made because the pamphlet itself is very washed out compared to the faux wood desk it’s sitting on.

Also, the lighting technique is different than what’s been seen on the more plausible leaks, and the numbers don’t look like the ‘Pure’ font, IIRC.

I REALLY hope thats not what the 900 looks like. It comes no where near the 800 in design. Love the specs yes, but will not purchase if thats the design.

    • rsgx

      Agreed.

  • http://www.mainstreetchatham.com/ JimmyFal

What does 1gb or RAM add to the user experience, just curious? Where would the average joe see that performance improvement? Two things I need, Gorilla glass, and U.S. (**^&^*^- ing availability NOW. Dammit, now I have to slave away with my HD7 that is actually all I need really. :) Lost opportunity, no, missed opportunity, yes. I’m thinking I will get one out of my two requests.

    • Anonymous

Probably nothing is added by upping RAM to 1 Gig so long as the number of apps allowed to multitask is limited to 5.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=715591433 Barry Allott

Maybe Nokia maps is one BEAST RAM EATER?

  • Anonymous

Yep, 900 was rumored to have a physcial QWERTY (for the business users) http://www.techwith.com/2011/1… .  Another tip provided to WMPoweruser yesterday, but still not posted.

WMPoweruser have posted ‘rumored’ device stories before; not sure why the reticence all of a sudden.

      link doesn’t work

  • http://profiles.google.com/arvydasg.93 Arvydas Grušeckas

This would be a killer phone… Well, I will be dissapointed if Nokia will launch only those 2 refurbished phones

  • Anonymous

if those leaks are true, the nokia world basically just confirm what have leaked, right? not that simple.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Milad-Bazzaz/100000479683479 Milad Bazzaz

its fake and its been verified by many sources already.

If Nokia has anything close to that, I know what my next Phone will be.

    • Anonymous

Where did you read that it was fake?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=513024116 Lundon Clark

I don’t care how it looks as long as the specs are true. I would also hope Nokia would release a few quad band phones for those of us who don’t want to jump to a new carrier (AT&T) just to buy a new phone.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JFRSB7FFT2UK2MD4VIW7O5IRUQ kim

Yes! I finally have my 32GB storage device I expected so much !!!! :)

I will not have to switch to Android to get some decent storage !

  • Anonymous

This looks like it.. if they release anything less than this they will fail!!

  • http://twitter.com/Arbeitsheld_ Julian Bickelmann

    I don’t like it.
Comes nowhere close to the gorgeous Nokia 800!

    4.3″  amoled and 32GB

    Nokia, take my money!

You forgot 1GB RAM, Clear Black, and Bluetooth 4.0

No Nokia, Take MY $$$$$$ ;)

We will all know in less then 11 hours.

  • http://twitter.com/efjay01 Ef Jay

Going to be so funny when this is confirmed as fake and everyone starts crying how Nokia “screwed” them! :)

Fujitsus Windows Phone has 32 GB storage, noob.

    • http://wp7sucks.myopenid.com/ SGS2User

Why is it considered as noob?? Not everyone need 32GB of massive storage like you do.

      • Anonymous

Im refering to the article, he says that no Windows Phone has 32 GB storage.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Zahl/1670371040 Steven Zahl

    ZZZZZZZZZZ………..

  • Anonymous

For me the most telling sign that this is a fake is that the phone is way too narrow to have 4.3″ screen.

    • http://wp7sucks.myopenid.com/ SGS2User

I doubt so. It looks narrow because of the empty space on the right side of the tiles. IMO, i think this is legit.

  • Anonymous

    I hope thats not true!

Don’t get me wrong. The specs are fantastic, but the device-design sucks. That’d just look like an Omnia 7 or something with a Nokia-branding on it. No way!
That design doesn’t fit with that, what we already know about the Nokia-phones (710, 800). It’s just not Nokias style imo.
Let’s hope there is a phone with that specs, but one, that can hold on to the amazing 800 and not that kind of crap that we see on the picture.
