Nokia Art project reveals where all the Lumia 920 stock went

imageNokia has been running an art project used to inspire developers to create on the Windows Phone platform.

Called the Always-on Telephone club, the work was commissions by Nokia and asked developers to create a project which visualized interconnected telephone nodes using 50 Nokia Lumia 920s.

The work was eventually displayed in Microsoft’s art gallery setting in London.

While I am sure this is a novel way of engaging developers who may not otherwise have worked on Windows Phone, I wonder what the ultimate return on investment in, and whether the talent could not have been turned to creating something more useful.
