Nokia Imaging Head Damian Dinning Leaving Company From Nov-30th

This is a shocker! Nokia Imaging head Damian Dinning is leaving the company by end of this month. Damian Dinning previously worked at Minolta and Eastman Kodak, and Nikon before joining Nokia in 2004. This is a great blow for Nokia as they have just started to differentiate Lumia Windows Phone devices by their imaging capabilities such as PureView.

‘Following the relocation of key strategic roles to Finland, and with great reluctance, Damian Dinning has made a personal decision to leave the company effective 30 November 2012.’

Nokia commented the following on Damian,

‘During the past nine years, [Damian] has made many innovative and valuable contributions to Nokia, most recently as a lead program manager in our Smart Devices business.

‘We thank him for his service to the company and certainly wish him the best.’
