Nokia Lumia 800 still on tops at KPN Netherlands, top at O2 Germany also

I have been keeping a close eye at the sales charts on KPN Netherlands, as it is one where I see the most movement, indicating to me that it is real activity and not just some paid-for list, and also of course it is clearly labelled Best Selling in Dutch.

For nearly a month now the Nokia Lumia 800 has been topping the best-seller list at the biggest carrier in the Netherlands. If this is not an indication of good sales I don’t know what is.

The good performance is of course not isolated to the Netherlands. According to O2’s charts the Nokia Lumia 800 is the most popular handset on O2 Germany and the 6th most popular after a variety of iPhone and Samsung Galaxy variants on T-Mobile Germany.

Nokia’s earnings should validate all this! Still, very nice to know that operators and stores are seeing demand for the Lumia and Windows Phones! New year is going to be our year!!!

Wife has one, we bought an unlocked one from http://www.phones4u.co.uk/ it's seriously good looking, I have a focus S from AT&T in Florida (unlocked by http://fastgsm.com) , thats a lovely phone too. To be honest, who cares who’s topping the charts, I think it’s only important to Android or iPhone users to show superiority over the rest. To me, as long as the likes of Microsoft and the hardware manufacturers just keep doing what they are doing, that’s all that matters.

At KPN the number one seller is the package that has 250 mins of voice or that number of SMS messages and 250MB data for €18.75/mo., €0 for the handset. The number two seller is the package with 275 mins or SMSs, 750MB data with a handset you pay €179.95 for and a plan that costs €45/mo.

I have a Lumia my wife a Mozart and my old phone was a HD7. I will be honest I think the 900 would be better for me but i couldnt wait. The phone is so slick and stylist and feels amazing in the hand and the screen is stunning. Regards sales I think it is damaged by the windows brand that Nokia has to be fair tried to hide as much as possible. If they keep up this level the phones will catch on and tbh looking at the mixed sales news i think its selling ok but not amazing and that was to be expected. The sooner MS realises they need to drop the windows branding the better for everyone.

I’ve got one but have yet to see another in the wild. Everyone who has seen it thinks it’s gorgeous though so it may be a sleeper hit and take while to build rather than be a big bang product.

Good start for Lumia, though one should note that each separate iPhone flavour is treated as a unique device (iPhone 4 in white with 8GB, iPhone 4 in black with 8GB, iPhone 4 in white with 16GB, etc etc) whereas all Lumias are lumped into a single sales figure. Hard to read into it.
