Nokia Lumia 800 Tops Sales Charts at Netherlands’s Largest Mobile Operator

We have seen some reports in the past month stating that Nokia Lumia leading sales in some of the mobile operators across Europe.

Two weeks ago we noted that in KPN’s charts the Nokia Lumia 800 was second only to the iPhone 4s (black). It seems either iPhone fever is fading or the Nokia tsunami growing, as the Lumia 800 has now passed the iPhone 4s (black) to read the top of the list.

KPN is the largest mobile operator in the Netherlands, making it a good sign for Nokia. Long may it continue.

Man if Nokia brings the 800 (maybe adds the FFC back in) and a 900 with 4+” screen, FFC, and 16/32GB options, they are gonna blow up in the US. Assuming of course they hit at least AT&T and Verizon. Hitting all 4 would be the icing on the cake.

They should add NFC support, LTE, and a 64GB option on the 900 as well. I would get one in a heartbeat.

I meant to say LTE as well, as I think that’s a given for adoption on Verizon at least. 64GB would be nice, but frankly, I think the masses would buy at 16/32, 64 is still a much smaller niche. Not to say that it wouldn’t be a nice option. =)

It does appear that all of the iPhone 4 and 4S models are each listed separately (something like 8 total when you include storage and color).

Its hardly a takeover. If you look at the KPN website, the price point of the Lumia is pretty realistic compared to say here in the UK. Here, its being priced at the same or similar prices to the iPhone or Galaxy S II. This clearly isn’t right as they are (hardware wise) premium phones, this is a top notch phone in terms of look and feel but spec wise, it fits well within mid-range bracket. Within this bracket however, it is clearly the best by a good distance.

It is a really sweet looking device. I like the big screen devices but I have to say this when it does come to the states and It feel nice in my hands that together with Nokia Drive It would be a good possibility that I would buy it.
