Nokia Lumia 900 render leaked again?

lumia900

Our readers noticed something odd about some of those colourful Lumia’s leaked yesterday by Monsmartphone and now MyNokiaBlog has pointed out a few further new features which suggests we are not looking at the Nokia Lumia 800 at all.

To start with, when the contrast is enhanced on the phones there is a clear circular structure which looks like a front facing camera on all the devices.  Secondly the capacitive keys appear smaller and spread further apart, suggesting a bigger device.  Lastly the camera button sits much higher on the device. On the Lumia 800 it is just above the capacitive keys, while on this device, which i think is likely the Lumia 900, it is between the first and second live tile.

Are our readers convinced we are looking at a different handset? Let us know below.

If the Nokia 900 is not shown at CES, then it will be a disaster for Nokia with all this speculation.  THIS is the phone people want.  A US-ready 800, even with a FFC, ain’t gonna do it.

I think the 800 will do fine, but I agree, people want the 900 to compete with higher end android devices. Frankly, I’m going to try and hold out until we have higher res screens.

Same here. Can’t remember if I read it here or somewhere else.  Apparently Nokia will have an Apollo (Windows Phone 8) powered phone that will be packing a high-res display, high end dual core CPU, far better camera, larger Display, LTE, NFC, Front facing cam, etc…… I believe this comes out middle of next year.  This will be the Phone I will wait for.  Windows Phone 8 powered Nokia.  :)

Nokia had promised to build 12 devices in 2012. For now, Windows Phone works great with mono cores. So for NOW(NOT IN SIX MONTHS), and U.S. for the market, we need devices with 4, 3 ??”+,Gyro, FFC, and LTE.
from June 2012, Dualcore and NFC should also be available.

I totally agree with you …Microsoft / Nokia needs to release a high-level device. 4.3 ”,GYRO, FFC, LTE, A Battery power. …

And if the 900′s body is a good form factor, they need to keep it for several generations to create an ecosystem of peripherals. This is the one reason the iPod took off… it rarely changed its form from year to year to allow all sorts of docks etc. to be created.

Agree completely. The iDevices have all sorts of peripherals which neither Android nor WP platform have. And that is a big disincentive for consumers to choose WP over iDevices.

I know that ACE/900 is assumed to be the ultimate Nokia/WP7 (at least in my mind it is/was) but with Apollo around the corner I don’t think the 900 would be perfect!

I’m only going from the leaked specs so far and obviously they could change but with Apollo I’m expecting a dual core CPU anyway! WP7 is pretty good with CPU utilisation anyway but if the Lumia 900 has only one core while most phones (including WP7 running phones) adopt multi-core it wouldn’t make sense that Nokia introduce with high-end last-year specs!

Hopefully this is not just photoshoped Lumia 800 but the real deal. I think more specs will be revealed at CES on January.
