Nokia Lumia 910 real, sporting 12 megapixel camera?

Dutch phone retailer Typhone.nl has a product page up for the Nokia Lumia 910, a variation of the Nokia Lumia 900 with a 12 megapixel camera which has been rumoured by Eldar for May 2012.

The spec sheet is a bit more detailed than most, suggesting the retailer is not just trawling for pre-orders for a handset which may not exist at all, but reveals no new information. On the other hand the site also has a page for the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 (although with no real detail) so we will leave our readers to make up their own minds.

In the Netherlands, phones aren’t limited to a single carrier.
You can get any phone, with any carrier. Hence why they’re called “provider” here: they provide you the network, and provide you with a subsidy for whatever phone you choose. That’s it. “Carrier” implies they ‘pick you up,’ which could symbolize more reliability from the customer to the company (and thus exclusivity, incompatible bands, and so forth).

Typhone is a very popular retailer here, but I think they just grabbed an image of the 900 to put up on the product page. In fact, they’re one of the largest websites in the mobile sector.

Yeah, and on that site, the 910 has an AT&T logo on it, the 4S is free and the Lumia 800 is available on the T-Mobile network.

In the Netherlands, you can get any phone on any network you want, that includes T-mobile being one of the five carriers. And yes you can get the iPhone 4S for free on the more expensive contracts, that’s a common practice due to the heavy subsidies on phones given to customers by all the networks. The site is one of the major online mobile phone retailers in the Netherlands.

We shouldn’t get a phone with an AT&T logo though. Even through grey import, that’d be highly unlikely: AT&T uses a different UMTS band than we have in the Netherlands, meaning that the phone wouldn’t be able to access 3G/ HSDPA.

Obviously, it is. But that also means that they haven’t received promotional materials, like official images and its specifications, from Nokia, thus decreasing the odds of these specifications being official.
