Nokia takes over Channel 5 website and TV

Nokia has continued its advertising offense in UK, sponsoring all the TV programs on Channel 5 TV this evening, and also taking over the whole Channel 5 website, with an accompanied article from The Gadget Show about 5 reasons why you should want a Nokia Lumia 800.

One has to wonder how the company will be able to top this in the coming weeks.

Finally some major marketing push for wp7… too bad the hardward is only average from the looks of it. I guess there’s no need to wait for Nokia in the US since the Titan and Samsung phones seem to be at par if not better

According to Engadget the hardware is actually the most beautiful phone ever made. They also say “You’ve never seen anything like it, and if you think it’s
attractive in pictures, wait until you see it in person — it’s

That same sentiment can be seen many places. Vlad Savov (ex-Engadget now The Verge) had this to say about the N9:
“The N9 is flawed and doomed, but you have to understand, I don’t care… The Harmattan UI is fresh, slick, and as natural as anything the smartphone world has yet introduced, while the physical design is unmatched. Not even the shiny new iPhone 4S feels as luxurious in the hand as the N9.”

Really?? This is great! Saw some adverts last night on E4 on Smallville, on channel 4, on ITV2 on x factor, on ITV 1 as well, and now on channel 5. Guess the only channels are the BBC ones. But I’m glad to see at least one of the the WP7 OEMs going at it big!

Update: Just saw it on TV, BBC News has taken some time out to talk about Nokia introducing a WP7 device! This is huge!! One has to wonder whether Nokia paid all the English terrestrial channels to advertise their product! When they said they would invest £120 in advertisement in the UK they weren’t joking about!
