Nokia World 2011 Speakers List Consists Of Microsoft Employees

Apart from the expected first Windows Phone reveal at Nokia World 2011, we don’t expect much from Nokia or Microsoft this October. Microsoft and Nokia together is taking this opportunity to address its partners and developers on its mobile strategy. Following Microsoft employees from Windows Phone team and Online services team will speak at Nokia world on following topics,

Day 1:

Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Windows Phone Program, Microsoft is speaking on “Building a different kind of UI”

Albert Shum, Director of Mobile Experience Design, Microsoft will participate in panel discussion on Designing smarter phones .

Yusuf Mehdi, Senior Vice President, Online Microsoft will participate in panel discussion on Business mobility as a consumer value proposition.

Day 2:

Brandon Watson, Senior Director of Windows Phone 7 development and Matt(hew) Bencke, General Manager of Developer and Marketplace will give developers a Windows Phone Spotlight.

Nokia is taking too much time. If they haven’t announced any devices in early october, expect HTC to sell a lot of devices and make Samsung, Nokia look like fools.

How will it make them look like fools? HTC don’t give a shit about WP nor do Samsung. Nokia is going all in on WP and will produce lots of phones that cover all price ranges. The HTC phones announced are the typical, boring HTC design and don’t bring anything new. The only reason the HTC WPs sold so well is because they released a lot of phones at launch and soon after so carriers had those. At least Samsung can bring their Super AMOLED Plus tech to WP.

Titan is boring? lol.

The Titan is hardly slick. It’s the same old recycled design just with a 4.7 inch which I personally find too big and I have large hands. The screen is the same 800 x 480 which will just make everything huge and crappy to look at.

Though Nokia will be later than the others but at least they are commited to WP7 and they will be bringing their services a long with them that no other phone manufacturer. I can’t even upgrade until August next year so these new phones coming out have no bearing on me anyway.

I would like to see a Nokia with a 4.3 + but I’m not going to wait until next year for it. I haven’t had any running problems with my HD7 except the volume issue if the Titan has the same issue with volume as the HD7 then NO i will not buy it. but right now the Titan and the samy s are the leaders for me and what i’m going to be looking at come the end of October. if there is no Nokia by then … I’ll have a look at them in two years when I upgrade after this coming upgrade.
