Nokia’s Navteq talk about their new mapping technology, Microsoft partnership at MWC 2011

Navteq is one of Nokia’s crown jewels and key assets, and besides Nokia’s massive brand and distribution, one of the most significant elements Nokia is bringing to improving the Windows Phone 7 experience.

In the above video we interview Navteq Vice President Frank Pauli about their latest efforts to improve their mapping data, including creating 3D maps of the buildings along the road using LIDAR and other advances sensors, and how this will improve Microsoft’s mapping service.
