Playstation 3 controlled by Xperia X1 using bluetooth
Here is a video of my favourite “wow” application, MobileRemote 1.1, running on an Xperia X1, used to control the functions of the Playstation 3.
As can be seen from the video, most features of the Playstation 3 can be used, estimated by the recorder at 85%.
The software, which I feel is a must have purchase for any Playstation 3 users who also have a Windows Mobile phone, costs only $8.99 and is available from our online store here.

Worst song ever. I couldn’t watch the video after it began. Yes, I have strong feelings about that one.
Other than that, cool fuctionality – but since I have a bluetooth keyboard, it’s not something I’ll use.
Wii will probably be next since it also uses Bluetooth and these phones have a G sensor (but no IR… wah).

Actually the wii remote does not have infra-red, but an infra-red sensitive camera which sees the twin LED’s on the bar on top of the TV. Some-one should take a picture of a wii bar, and if it shows up as two lights you know you are in business

I know… no IR cam or IR sensing equipment on the top of any Phones so there is no way we could get the same experience on a Phone that we do with a Wiimote without extra hardware.

I bought this software when version 1.1 just came out (in March I think) and the software worked fine on my HTC Diamond, but I couldn’t get it to work with my PS3.
Any special technique to get it to work?
The PS3 allows you to mod it to the extreme, and I think you have proved this!
