Quick Tip: Unlock your Samsung Omnia

XDA Developers member hubo2000 has posted another way to get the Samsung Omnia unlocked, in case you have had problems with previous attempts.

That being said, here are the steps that need to be taken to accomplish this seemingly simple task:

Go to the registry, HKCU\System\State\PHONE, and wrote down the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry.

1. type *7465625*638*# to set
2. type the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry here.
3. type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
3. type *#7465625# to check your lock (network lock still enabled)
4. type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)
5. enjoy.

Seeing how you cant unlock a CDMA device I suspect we are talking GSM in the main.

if your omnia 2 if from bell you can unlock through the compnay but you have to number with them for 30days before they unlock it.. I have yet to find any place else that unlocks it.. do you know any where???

Man i was sent a A SAMSUNG 3g Omnia smartphone from canada by some relative. The model is i910 and when it starts it shows bell. TO my surprise the damn thing dosent have SIM CARD SLOT. And above all that it dosent even mention if it is a CDMA PHONE or a GSM phone , no where on the box either. The only buzz word written is DUAL MODE 1.9MHZ 800MHZ phone. Tommorow ill get it to a mobile shop, i hope its not cdma , if it is , its totaly wastage of money because in India only cdma is reliance and they dont support third party phones i guess.
