I have the intrepid and i absolutely love it. the reason i chose it is that i wanted a business/personal phone without features that frequently break on other phones (i.e. slide or flip out keyboards, the rolling ball on blackberry's, etc.) i also wanted the extra feature i call "backup" the entire phone is capable of being run from the qwerty keypad or from the touchscreen (if one breaks on the phone be it keypad or touchscreen you can still use the other to run everything on the phone, hens – backup). I usually use the touchscreen with the occasional button pressing for quick use of this phone (depending on what I'm doing a mix of touch screen and buttons can be faster however it all depends on what you do and what your preference is). i again "absolutely love" this phone and definitely recommend it. if your looking for anything like a blackberry this in my opinion is the best phone you could possibly get. Don't get me wrong i also like androids and the palm pre for certain features they have and the style of how programs run as well (there is something you can VERY EASILY do about this next part)—> i will state that this phone does not have java nor is it supported yet for this phone when trying to download it online for its original web browser of internet explorer (i'll explain in a minute why that doesn't matter) which makes watching videos online in your original web browser (on youtube for example) extremely hard as only certain videos seem to play and cannot be used well (for example buffering takes a long time and when trying to rewind a video on youtube the video might take forever to start back up if it does at all) HOWEVER (this is the fix part) a simple download online which you can do with your internet explorer fixes this entire problem. use internet explorer and download "opera mini 5" (NOT opera mini 10 as that one has bugs that need worked out and may cause you to have to hard reset your phone losing any data on the phone and not saved in a micro SDHC card) opera mini 5 is a web browser (the only one i use now) which allows you to watch any and all videos online in the windows media player on the phone which works amazingly well allowing you to rewind videos with no buffering time and no lag in regular or fullscreen view however when watching in High Quality it still works amazing unless your phone (not the micro SDHC card) is loaded up with a lot of things taking up the memory (from what ive heard but have yet to experience) i have downloaded a LOT on my phone including apps, movies, music and still have barely filled up the memory on the phone and practically (according to the memory even after all my downloads) have barely touched my micro SDHC card. Opera Mini 5 runs fast, has a start page like on a mac (a home page with several boxes where you can put your favorite or frequently visited sites to easily access them) and also allows you to open several windows in the same browser and easily switch between them quickly. overall the phone is like a mini laptop in your pocket (i have barely named any of the great features of this phone in this post… you get the idea) the only downside of this phone that i have noticed and don't particularly like is that it is not yet supported for "Pandora Radio" (hopefully you know what that is by now) although it is coming in the near future and is on the top list for soon to be supported phones by pandora radio which i was informed of when speaking with the techs from pandora (will be posted soon on pandora.com) this concludes my extremely long answer to your questions posted above ^
