SE Xperia now becoming available again

Ostensibly launched 2 weeks ago, the Sony Ericsson Xperia has only really been available in Sweden. Reports are now coming in of new stock now arriving on virtual store shelves.

Vodafone is now showing the phone in stock and ready for delivery on their website, and Clove is also showing the smartphone in stock.

Expansys is still reporting a 5 day wait, so the device is clearly not widespread yet. If you want one its probably best to jump on these right now.

Touch Pro got no USA 3G!
uk X1 does USA 3G on 1900umts!
ATT uses 1900umts in my area!

Are you sure about that. I understood it used one frequency for upload and one for download. You cant just have 1900, you need 850 also. I may be wrong however.

my understanding is that 1900 is ‘description’ but that it does go ‘up’ and ‘down’ close to the 1900 band. the reason that band is there is for UK users to be able to use 3G when in the states. the other reason i believe it iwll work is because 1900 is not available in all areas…

i have my fingers crosses. the reviews coming out recently do point to this device being very well made…time will tell…
