Spectral Souls, a 1 GB RPG, coming to Windows Phone 8

In an interview with the Red Bull team development team HyperDevbox revealed that their smartphone port of Spectral Souls will be coming to Windows Phone soon.

“We want first to bring the full game to Windows mobile gaming community,” Carlo Perconti, the CEO of HyperDevbox, says. “If there’s a good feeling from that community, we’ll then see how we could add new Windows Phone specifics to the game.”

He promised the game will  run on everything from high end Samsung devices to Nokia’s cheapest Windows Phone. Though Perconti hasn’t set a date for it yet, he’s hoping to get in early once more with Microsoft’s smartphone software.

The Japanese RPG offers more than 100 hours of play time, and the whole game is a 1 GB download, clocking in at £8.19 on Google Play.

Perconti wants to start working on full-on Xbox 360 and PS3 ports to mobile, now that smartphones are becoming so powerful.

“We just strive to bring cool games to hot platforms and develop original games for a global audience,”  he told Red Bull UK.
