Square, the mobile payment company, has hinted they are considering a Windows Phone app.

At a breakfast in New York today, Square CEO Jack Dorsey announced a partnership with Starbucks, bringing  the service to accept mobile payments via the Pay with the Square app to 7000 Starbucks stores.

The Pay with Square app is only available on iOS and Android but when asked whether a Windows Phone app is in the works, Dorsey said, "We will definitely build for where the users are, and we’re excited about the Windows Phone interface."

Hopefully 3.5% of the market is enough users to exceed Square’s tipping point and also bring along a host of other niche applications to the OS.
