USA is not Windows Phone’s strongest market, so a recent survey by Prosper Insights and Analytics™ has produced some surprising results.

According to them, 19% of US consumers planning to buy a smartphone  in the next 3 months are considering a Windows Phone.  This is rather far at odds with Kantar’s Q4 numbers, which had Windows Phone only having 2.6% market share in USA, but then of course there is a significant difference between considering and actually buying a handset, a gap Microsoft needs to close.

The survey also cements Windows Phone’s position as the 3rd OS in the US, suggesting Blackberry may not find its resurrection as easy as it imagines.
