We have heard today that a mid-range Nokia Windows Phone 8 handset is coming to Verizon, which may have disappointed some who was expecting Verizon to step up their Windows Phone game.

Now Blog of Mobile has noticed another Windows Phone 8 handset heading to Big Red. The HTC 6990 LVW is an LTE equipped smartphone heading to Verizon with the classicly limited range of Bluetooth profiles that is so indicative of a Windows Phone 8 handset.

The date of certification, on the 13th of August and 22nd August, suggests the handset should be arriving pretty soon on the CDMA carrier, hopefully meaning Verizon customers will not need to wait as usual.

Another HTC Windows Phone 8 handset is the HTC PM233XX, which a similar list of Windows Phone 8 profiles.

HTC is expected to release 3 Windows Phone 8 handsets before the end of the year.

The  “Rio,” has a 4-inch WVGA display, 14.4Mbps HSPA, and a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video capture. There’s only 512MB on board, and the processor is a a Qualcomm MSM8227  Snapdragon S4 Plus.

The “Accord,” with a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2, an 8-megapixel sensor with 1080p capture, 42Mbps HSPA+, NFC support, and 1GB of RAM atop a slightly beefier dual-core processor (tentatively an MSM8260A).

The last is the “Zenith” with  a 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 with the same 8-megapixel sensor as the Accord, 42Mbps HSPA+, and an unnamed quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon.
