RPG Game For WM Now Available
Now I am not a huge RPG player, so I cannot say I know or have played this game but I am sure some of you guys might be interested. Ported/developed by XDA member zyphuris55, this new game is a mini game that used to be played quite common on the PS1+2. Now considering I have very few experience with this all I can say is the comments seem positive and the updates seem to be rolling just fine.
If you are interested in getting a little game on your WM device read on:
Leo Keypad Notification
Knowing when you have something waiting for you on your device is a little hard with the HD2 because you have to take it out your pocket, but with this tweak, your keypad alerts you. This tweak created by XDA member NetRipper, who managed to get the HD2’s keypad to blink when you have a notification. This could save you the time of sliding out the whole device out of your pocket, but just taking out half the device to see the keypad and slide back in.
This application is very limited, but some people might find it useful. To help the developer included this information with the download link:
There are currently a few versions to this app, and they can be found in the attached zip:
LeoExtendedNotifications_calls.exe
LeoExtendedNotifications_calls_email.exe
LeoExtendedNotifications_calls_sms.exe
LeoExtendedNotifications_calls_sms_email.exe
LeoExtendedNotifications_email.exe
LeoExtendedNotifications_sms.exe
LeoExtendedNotifications_sms_email.exeThe exe indicates what notifications it checks for. You only need to use one of the executables. Choose the one that fits you.
Copy the exe to \Windows\Startup if you want it to autorun on boot.
You don’t get confirmation when the app is started or closed (you close it, by starting it a 2nd time).
If you also use KeypadLedControl, you may get some irregular blinking during notifications. Nothing serious.
Here’s a list of ideas some people want me to add, but I don’t make any promises and I tend to spend my time on other things:
- Disable notifications after X minutes.
- Ability to select the type of notifications by configuration.
- Ability to change the blinking sequence (speed, nr of blinks, etc) (and preferably able to set different sequences per notification type)
- Knightrider style blinking (though currently seems not possible)
- Ability to use camera flashlight as notification light (thread)
- Temporarily don’t blink when a call is active, even when there are notifications
- Disable blinking after unlock (until newer notifications come up)
- notify on voicemailSource code can be found here: http://github.com/netripper/LeoExtendedNotifications
You can get the download link over at XDA.
LMT – Multitouch launcher
We mentioned this before, but LMT, built by noname81 of XDA-Developers and I has recently had an update.
It now supports things like single touch gestures, as well as customisation of what’s launched,.
0.4 is the currently available version, and 0.5 should be out shortly.
We’re also looking to help developers use multitouch, so if there are any about who could help with “what features do you want?”, that would be great!
Download it from here.
HTC Leo coming to Telstra Australia
With revelation of the Pictures of the HTC Leo I decided to do some digging on my Mobile Carrier’s website. I went to their MMS settings page and was delighted to discover that they have the HTC Leo listed, albeit with an older rendering of the device we know as the HTC Firestone.
This proves that the Firestone and the Leo are one and the same. View the screen shot attached.
So when should we see the HTC Leo. I am guessing that it will be announced on October 6th with the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5.
HTC Leo ? HTC Firestone ? HTC Toth ? HTC Athena 2/Omni
![]()
We have been hearing massive amount of rumors surrounding this new kid on the block.
First off, we heard that HTC Leo is the rumored HTC Firestone (From which we’ve been seeing screenshots of TF3D 2.5) with all of the WVGA 4.3” screen goodness and, of course, the long-awaited 1Ghz Snapdragon processor.
Zoom back to present, rumor has it that HTC Leo might actually be the HTC Toth instead of Firestone, which makes Leo the replacement of HTC Athena.

Long time XDA-Dev forum lurkers will also notice at this point that the replacement of HTC Athena was rumored to be the HTC Omni (yes it’s way back from the age of HTC Universal).

Confused yet?
So let’s make this simpler. What we’ve known so far can be simplified in this equation:

With all of these new rumors surrounding the rest of HTC’s 2009 lineup, I’ll say we’ll have a very interesting Q4 waiting in the store for us.
