More LG Fantasy video
I think we can guess who purchased that wayward LG Fantasy. Romanian site Mobilisimo posted this hands-on video of the handset which frustratingly does not explore the really significant new feature of the device, the NFC capability.
Hopefully the device will fall into more informed hands soon, so we can finally get a good measure of this new Windows Phone.

LG Fantasy in the wild! (video)
Some-one on XDA-Developers appears to have purchased an LG Fantasy from a tester, and are trying to sell it on. To prove he had the handset he uploaded a video.
The video is of terrible quality, but confirms that the handset does have NFC, making it a first for Windows Phone.
He claims the handset will go on sale in July, making it possible we are seeing one of the first Tango handsets.
See the thread here.
Thanks Martin for the tip.

Some more pictures of the LG Miracle has shown up on a Romanian website for sale. The pictures have since been removed, but was accompanied by specs which still claimed NFC support for the 1 Ghz handset.
The handset was labelled by its older name, the LG Fantasy E740, and appears reassuringly stylish and thin with a bright screen. In the pictures the front facing VGA camera is now also clearly visible.
The device is still expected to arrive in the first half of the year and may be announced at Mobile World Congress 2012.

Another LG Fantasy Picture Leaks, This Time More Clearly

It was only last Friday that an xda-developers member, untitledmangxg, showed us some pictures of the LG Fantasy, a Windows Phone said to come in the first quarter of 2012. However, they were quite blurry, but thankfully another member, razorsbk, has posted a new, much nicer picture.
We’ve photoshopped the render that Pocketnow leaked back in July into the new image, and there are some notable differences here:
- Size: From the proportions of earpiece, logo and capacitive buttons, the actual device on the left definitely seems smaller. With untitledmangxg claiming it to have a 4″ screen, the render seems to us more like 4.3″.
- Front-facing camera: Yes folks, no camera on the render, but the actual device seems to have one, to the top-left of the logo.
- Start button: The Windows flag on the actual device has a rectangular shape surrounding it, suggesting it to be a hardware button. Whatever it is, it’s definitely different from the render.
- Edges: The top and bottom edges of the render are slightly curved outward, whereas the actual device shows them to be completely straight.
Maybe these are two different devices, maybe they’re the same device but LG has changed it, we don’t know. But considering the release timeframe, we should know soon, at least within the next three months.

untitledmangxg from XDA-Developers claims to have the new LG Fantasy, and has the pictures to back it up. he claims the device was sold to him by a Romanian tester and comes with a 4 inch IPS display and runs Windows phone Mango.
He calls the device “very nice~ and we will have to agree.
The handset was first leaked all the way in July 2011 by Pocketnow, but then of course was just a rendering and was not accompanied by specs.
See the XDA-Dev thread here.
Thanks Chaitanya for the tip.
Leak: LG Fantasy looks a bit like the HTC HD7

Pocketnow have managed to lay their hands on LG’s fall line-up, revealing amongst a bevy of Android handsets a single Windows Phone 7 handset, the LG Fantasy.
No specs accompanied the rendering, but the device appears to have a near edge to edge screen and similar styling to the HC HD7, suggesting to me that it will likely be a premium large-screened handset.
How do our readers feel about the design compared to LG’s previous lower-end looking devices? Let us know below.
Thanks Kainy for the tip.
