Motorola Q11 Gets Handled
Over at WMExperts, it appears Dieter got some face time with the Motorola Q11. It looks as though this device is slated for a South American release, so unless thats where you call home, do not expect to be a proud new owner of the Q11 anytime soon.
Remember, this is an EDGE only handset running the latest version of Windows Mobile standard, 3MP camera, GPS and WiFi. Not too shabby.
Motorola has announced that it will be letting our precious WinMo go to the wayside in favor of that other operating system, so we thought you should get one final peek at what may be one of Motorolas last Windows Mobile handsets for sometime, if ever.
As you can see below, the Q11 has a very similar form factor to the Motorola Q9c, wich is a very solid device in terms of functionality and build quality.

So if you reside in South America and the Moto Q11 looks favorable, you are in luck. The rest of us will have to wait patiently and see what Windows Mobile has in store for us, but we must say, the future looks quite bright.

Motorola Q11 gets official
Following a recent trend of actually announcing products after they have been leaked to death, Motorola has made the Q11 official. Calling to Q11 feature-rich, Motorola tried to make up for the lack of 3G in the 11.7 mm thick device by providing WIFI using the Boingo Mobile network. Motorola expects to release the device December this year.

Motorola Q11 – not as bad as it sounds?
Motorola should really be admired for keeping soldiering on with the Q series, despite lackluster public acceptance. The latest incarnation of the form factor, the Motolola Q11, has many of the same features of the other Q devices – a great keyboard, nice screen and thin form factor. It adds some consumer-friendly features, like a 3 megapixel camera, 3.5,, headphone jack and GPS with turn-by-turn software, and drops 3G connectivity which should improve battery life. WIFI is thankfully still present. The memory is expandable via microSD card and a 1GB card will be bundles.
The smartphone features Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, and the video below (Portugese) shows it includes the often omitted Windows Live Messenger
The device appears to be destined for release in Brazil first, apparently because it will be manufactured there.

Motorola Q11 revealed
MobilityToday has published a series of photos of Motorola’s latest entry to its Q series, the Motorola Q11. The device, which is a world phone, features both CDMA and GSM (with EDGE support but no 3G). The device also has WIFI, meaning you should be able to get online from nearly anywhere.
The phone in addition features GPS , and appears to have Motorola’s now famously good keyboard.
