Nokia 900/Ace To Launch With $100 Million Marketing Campaign In US
According to sources of betanews, Nokia Ace/900 will launch with $100 million marketing campaign in US later this year. Betanews also reports that Nokia Ace will be launched as a hero device in AT&T just as iPhone where AT&T will be heavily promoting it across their stores and channels.
The Ace will launch in late March, sources confirm, along with a marketing campaign that will run in the neighborhood of $100 million. However, sources were reluctant to say exactly how that $100 million spend might be divvied up among the principals — AT&T, Microsoft or Nokia. The Ace will launch first on AT&T, where Microsoft has reached an agreement with the carrier to give it “hero” status. This means that AT&T itself will promote the device in its advertising, through its retail channels and direct store associates to push the device within its stores.
Such a move is a first for a Windows Phone here in the United States, a place where the platform has languished behind larger competitors.
The report seems to be true to me because even we heard a news from a source stating that Microsoft is looking to solve the retail sales issues of Windows Phone in a big way. So this must be their big way ! ! If Nokia 900 becomes AT&T’s hero device, then retail people at AT&T stores will no longer divert you from buying a Windows Phone, instead they will convince you to buy one.

Is this the Nokia Lumia 900? (Render)

Look what just popped up in our mailbox. At first glance it looks just like the Nokia Lumia 800, but there are subtle clues that it is a different devices such as the lower-set capacitive keys.
If this is indeed the Nokia Lumia 900 it would explain why rumours of a Lumia 800 with LTE going round, given the close resemblance between the devices. It is striking however that there is no clear front-facing camera, but there is a circular area in the top left corner which may still conceal this.
The Nokia 900 is a rumoured Windows Phone with a 4.3” ClearBlack AMOLED screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.4 GHz single-core processor. It is rumoured to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. Front-facing camera and gyro sensor is currently unknown. It is rumored to be released Q1 2012 on AT&T. Other country release dates are currently unknown. Full specs…

Claimed hands-on with the Nokia 900 rumours 4.7 inch AMOLED screen (Update: Actually 4.3 inch screen)

Geektechblog.com is claiming to have had a hands-on with the Nokia 900 and have some very specific info to share.
They claim the device will have a massive 4.7 inch large 4.3 inch screen like the HTC Titan, but using AMOLED technology. The phone will apparently have ”a nicer camera to compliment the big screen”. The handset will apparently also retain the same appearance as the Lumia 800, but may have a gloss finish depending on feedback.
Geektechblog also notes the microSIM card will be removable using a pin like the iPhone rather than the current, rather complicated system, and that the microUSB slot will be uncovered.
They confirm the handset will run Tango, but claim NFC support will have to wait for Apollo.
No we never heard of Geektechblog, so we do not know how much credence to give this rumour. What would our readers think of such a monster from Nokia? Let us know below.
Update: The Geek tech blog have updated their article to change the screen size to 4.3 inch, which is of course consistent with what was leaked earlier, and which makes all the rest more believable.
As long as we are throwing rumours out there, Nokia Gadgets claims to have a bit more info, saying the Nokia 900 has:

BGR confirms the Nokia 900 for USA early 2012

According to BGR’s trusted sources, a flagship Nokia Windows Phone is coming to USA between January and February 2012 running Windows Phone Tango.
The handset will have the same features as previously leaked ie. a 4.3 inch AMOLED screen (ClearBlack of course), 1.4 ghz Processor, 8 megapixel camera, and be similar in “identity” to the Nokia Lumia 800.
The handset will apparently be accompanied by a “huge marketing blitz in the U.S. for January and February” which is of course desperately needed due to Nokia’s poor brand in USA.
The Nokia 900 (Ace) is a rumored Windows Phone with a 4.3” ClearBlack AMOLED screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.4 GHz single-core processor. It is rumored to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. Front-facing camera and gyro sensor is currently unknown. It is rumored to be released Q1 2012 on AT&T. Other country release dates are currently unknown. Full specs…

Nokia replaces leaked Nokia Lumia with Nokia Lumia 800 in developer video
| Nokia Lumia 800 | Nokia Lumia 900? |
When we were initially tipped about the leaked Nokia handset (thanks Goplay btw) we ignored it, thinking Nokia could never be stupid enough to leak their new handset in an official video.
When Nokia then went on to pull the video however things became a lot more interesting, and this new video, which replaces the mystery Nokia Windows Phone 7 handset with a Nokia Lumia 800 is the cherry on the top.
Do our readers think we are looking at a real newly leaked Nokia handset? Let us know below.

Nokia hints at higher-end Lumia handset, confirms Windows 8 tablets by June 2012
The head of Nokia France it seems has loose lips.
Talking to French LesEchos newspaper he spoke of Nokia’s plan to boost their market share of the French market from their current 16% back to 22% (close to the 25% they had 2 years ago).
He also described the Nokia Lumia 800 as a BWM 5 series, noting:"It’s just the equivalent of the BMW 5 Series. We will soon have a full range with a Series 7 and Series 3. "
The 3 series is presumably the Nokia Lumia 710, leaving the higher end device as the mystery, possibly the much leaked Nokia 900.
He also confirmed to LesEchos that in June 2012, Nokia will have a tablet running Windows 8 . This of course also gives a potential ship date for Windows 8, which is widely expected to appear only in fall 2012.
The Nokia 900 (Ace) is a rumoured and probably not real Windows Phone with a 4.3” ClearBlack AMOLED screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.4 GHz single-core processor. It is rumoured to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. Front-facing camera and gyro sensor is currently unknown. It is rumoured to be released Q1 2012 on AT&T. Other country release dates are currently unknown. Full specs…

Nokia 900 (Ace) Specs Revealed?
The Nokia Blog just received a picture of what seems to be an official specs sheet for the rumored Nokia 900 (Ace). If the rumored specs are true, the Nokia 900 will be by far the most impressive Windows Phone yet.
These specs confirm the previously rumored 1.4 GHz single-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, and large 1800 mAh battery. The more impressive and new specs include 1 GB of RAM (which the Nokia Sabre is also rumored to have), and either 16 or 32 GB of storage space, making this the first Windows Phone to have 32 GB of storage. The screen is also a ClearBlack AMOLED display according to the picture, which is basically equal to Samsung’s Super AMOLED screens. Also, if the picture is true, the Nokia 900 will have NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Nokia 900 (Ace) is rumored to be released Q1 2012 on AT&T. Other country release dates are currently unknown. Full specs…
Nokia 900 Windows Phone “discovered” in Finland
We discover new Windows Phone 7 handsets in unusual places, like Bluetooth SIG, game leader boards and user agent logs, but the method discovered by Jorg is the strangest and most convoluted.
As a Nokia developer he was accessing a Nokia N9 at Nokia’s Finnish offices using Remote Device Access (where developers can test their apps remotely on real handsets) and found, by searching for devices which are discoverable by Bluetooth, that there is a Nokia 900 Windows Phone handset somewhere in the vicinity.
This is in fact not the first time we heard of the Nokia 900, but the previous rumour came with such ridiculous specs they seemed rather fantasy than reality. Despite being extremely virtual this handset may actually be a little more tangible.
Registered Nokia developers can see if they can replicate the feat at Nokia here.
