More TouchFlo3D 2.6 video
Not quite admitting to having missed this feature in their last TF3D 2.6 round-up, Brandon from Pocketnow gives us another preview of the HTC Leo’s ROM running on the HTC Touch Diamond 2, in particular the music and video tab with Coverflow allusions.

More TouchFlo3D 2.6 video – gives Coverflow a run for its money
Here is some more video of HTC’s latest version of TouchFlo3D, showing some further enhancements, such as a landscape photo viewer and also a great landscape implementation of the album view, allowing you to see which tracks are in an album and select each randomly, unlike the current system where each track has to be selected sequentially.
In fact, there seems to be so much going on in this video I am sure I am sure we are missing out on some great changes. Why not let us know what you noticed in the comments.

Request for help – how to remove locked TouchFlo3D tabs
Nick from down under has sent us this request, but unusually a bit off googling did not reveal the answer. I have therefore decided to throw it out to the community and see if we could get Nick some help.
Hi I bought touch pro 2 in Australia from a service provider "telstra" and they have installed their own tabs and apps in touchflo, i want to know how to uninstall them. i tried in setting and customize tabs but these tabs are fixed like home tab. please help.
A bit of a conundrum them. If any of our readers can help Nick out please reply in the comments.
Two handy TouchFlo3D hacks
Here is two handy TouchFlo3D hacks from XDA-Developers showing her versatile the platform HTC developed really is.
On the left is the Retractable Manilla Slide bar, which makes the slide bar disappear in portrait mode exactly how it does in Landscape mode.
On the right is Take Control, which actually allows one to detach the slide bar completely and place it anywhere in the screen.
Read more about the backs in the respective XDA-Developer threads, and always make a back-up before installed any hacks.

Cool HTC rumours from down under, GSM TP2 with 3.5mm headphone on the way
I have been privileged to receive some pretty interesting rumours recently, and this one is certainly right up there.
The information, that comes from an Australian telco source, state that, just like the Telus and Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2, the version coming to Australia (that carrier at least) will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Of course it only makes sense that all HTC’s later devices have 3.5mm headphone jacks, but this will make European owners of existing devices likely feel pretty bad.
Apparently that Touch Pro 2 will have a major emphasis on location awareness, for example profiles which can be linked to GPS co-ordinates and/or cell tower ID. Some of these software features will also come to the Touch Diamond 2.
Our tipster also spoke of a updated version of the HTC Touch HD, but much faster (likely the Firestone?) that will feature a new version of TouchFLo3D.
Of particular interest is that HTC is apparently preparing to open up its Touchflo architecture to a select number of developers, allowing new tabs to be developed, with a development kit is already being seeded.
We can expect all these developments to come to fruition over the next 2 quarters, meaning we don’t have very long to wait to see how these rumours shake out.
Thanks Anonymous tipster!
Add a Streaming TV tab to TouchFlo3D
Want to add a streaming TV tab to TouchFlo3D? FreewarePocketPC.net has a pretty convoluted but cool hack that will add the tab to your current VGA or WVGA TouchFlo3D and give you access to a variety of streaming internet TV channels from all over the world. The functionality is apparently ported from a version of TouchFlo3D for a French carrier but should work well anywhere.
See the cab and detailed instructions at Freewarepocketpc.net here.
TouchFlo3D 2.5 previewed again
Pocketnow has produced this video preview of the latest leaked version of TouchFlo3D 2.5, and make the interesting point that the design seemed to have moved extremely far towards large chunky icons, suggesting that the HTC Firestone, from which the software was ripped, may actually be a capacitive device. That may be a case of an inference too far, but its these nice romours which keeps us going, isn’t it
See the video below:

Read this thread here for more on HTC’s latest efforts.
More TouchFlo3D 2.5 screenshots
Starbase64 has kindly uploaded a large gallery of TouchFlo3D 2.5 screenshots.
I have embedded a slideshow for your viewing pleasure here, but the full gallery can be seen here.
Thanks Starbase64 for the tip.
HTC Firestone’s TouchFlo3D revealed
The next build of Manilla, TouchFlo3D 2.5, has been leaked, and this video shows it running on a HTC Touch HD. It continuous the replacement of the normal Windows Mobile UI, and it seems all parts of calendar and settings are now subsumed in the software.
Also new is HTC Footprints as an integral part of TF3D.

Great desktop application for creating TouchFlo3D wallpapers
While TouchFlo3D allows you to set any picture as your wallpaper, this only works on the Home screen, and the level of control over the appearance of the wallpaper is very poor.
XDA-Developer Maranell0 decided to do something about the situation however, and has created a desktop wallpaper editor which allows one to easily adjust and crop a picture, and then turns it into an easily installed .CAB file. Even better, the wall paper will be available on all tabs.
The wallpaper only work on HTC’s latest version of TouchFlo3D,as found on the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and recent hacked ROM’s.
See this XDA-Developers thread for more information and the download.

TouchFlo3D hacked to support normal today screen plug-ins
TouchFlo3D is very pretty, and getting better all the time, but there are still many today screen plug-ins with specialized functions that are even more useful.
Now with Manilla Today Page you can have your plug-in cake and eat it too. MTP provides a TouchFlo3D tab which can host your favourite today screen plug-ins. It works with both the old and new Manilla.
Read more about the software, which is still in early beta, in this xda-developer thread here.
