Pac-Man Kart Rally now in Marketplace, only $4.99

Pac-Man Kart Rally seems to have raced its way to Marketplace, arriving slightly earlier than expected.
The game is the first Xbox Live game which allows head to head local game play over WIFI, hopefully a sign of things to come.
The description reads:
The race is on! Head for the finish line with PAC-MAN Kart Rally by Namco Bandai! The arcade icon takes to the open road against his famous Namco Bandai friends, including PAC-MAN! Master the drifting technique to fly around corners and cut off the competition! Watch out for power-ups, bonus items and speed boosts to gain the upper hand. Compete in a garage full of modes that will test your karting skills! See you in the winner’s circle!
Pac-Man Kart Rally is $4.99 (£3.99) and can be found in Marketplace here.
At Last! Pac-Man Kart Rally will feature local wireless multiplayer

Microsoft called Windows Phone their handheld gaming console, but despite the presence of Xbox Live on the handsets there has been very little evidence of the real multi-player gaming we expect from a handheld console these days.
It seems that’s about to change, with WPCentral reporting that Pac-Man Kart Rally will feature wireless local multi-player gaming, a feature that Windows Phone should really have shipped with.
Pac-Man Kart Rally will be the first Xbox Live title with local Wi-Fi multiplayer, meaning two players on two handsets can play against each other on a wireless network. Local game-play makes network lag a non-existent problem, so the experience should be good.
The game even includes a multiplayer Achievement, ‘Unbeatable’, giving an incentive to encourage your buddies to buy a Windows Phone.
WPCentral expects the game to arrive this Wednesday, May 2, starting a new area of a real Microsoft handheld console.

Game Review: Gerbil Physics
Gerbil Physics is just average and nothing special. I would say pass on this game.
Overall Score: 3/5
The gameplay has great variety, but simply isn’t that incredible or fun. The lasting value is weak at about 2 hours.
Gameplay: 3/5
The one thing Gerbil Physics does well is variety. Every level is quite unique, especially as you get to the end of the game. However, that doesn’t mean the game is fun. I found myself slightly bored with the game. Implode! is nearly identical and more enjoyable. The game has a good score multiplier system, but it lacks the magic touch that makes games fun. iBlast Moki is also somewhat similar and is more fun in my opinion.
Presentation: 3/5
The visuals are only decent (Angry Birds looks cleaner and crisper for example), and the music is very repetitive (plays the same song over and over again). Thus, the presentation is just average.
Lasting Value: 3/5
Completing the game will last about 2 hours, which isn’t that much. You can replay levels to get all gold or the star on each level, but overall the game simply needs more levels to be competitive.

New Xbox Live title revealed: Gun Bros (video trailer)
Glu Mobile is bringing another game to Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7.
Gun Bros is a twin-stick overhead shooter where players control either of two siblings as they fight to stop the evil organization known as T.O.O.L. from stealing the galaxy’s valuable Xplodium resources. The game involves travel from planet to planet, taking on missions of various difficulties, killing tons of unfriendly aliens, and collecting as much Xplodium as you can.
Between missions, the Gun Bros can process their Xplodium to turn it into gold. Better processing methods unlock as you go along. Gold is then used to buy new weapons and armor pieces.
Like the other Glu Mobile game, Bug Village, this one also features optional downloadable content, in the form of more powerful premium items, which can be purchased for Microsoft Points.
The game should arrive in the summer and will feature 200 gamer points. A HTML5 version of Gun Bros can be found in the Chrome store here .

Glu’s Contract Killer coming to Xbox Live (Video trailer)
Glu games will soon be delivering another of their mobile games to Windows Phone 7.
WPCentral reports Contract Killer is coming soon to Xbox Live.
The game descriptions reads:
They might call you an enforcer, or an assassin. Call it what you like – you’re a CONTRACT KILLER.
Pulled into a world of bounty hunters, mobsters and criminals, you must check in with your contacts and accept SECRET MISSIONS that only you can handle. Select your WEAPON OF CHOICE from an inventory of sniper rifles, assault rifles and machine guns. Locate your target, zoom in, take aim and GO FOR THE HEADSHOT to earn cold hard cash. You might eliminate a crime boss and escape without being spotted, or you might walk straight into an AMBUSH…
The game will support downloadable content via Microsoft Points to refill your energy, but fortunately this is an optional feature. Points can also be used to purchase better gear.
The app should appear in May, but a HTML5 version can be found in the Chome store here.

MonstaFish and Pac-Man Kart Rally are two new Xbox Live games for Windows Phone
Xbox360achievements.org have uncovered two new Xbox Live games.
The first is Namco Bandai’s Pac-Man Kart Rally, which despite the brand seems to have owe more to Mario Kart than the Pac-Man we know and love.
The second game is MonstaFish, which may be an exclusive Windows Phone game and comes with 14 achievements.
Xbox LIVE Deal Of The Week: Z0MB1ES (on teh ph0ne)
Z0MB1ES (on teh ph0ne) is now on sale in Windows Phone Marketplace under Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week. The game is now available for $1.99 down from its regular price of $2.99.
From our review of this game,
The main thing holding Z0MB1ES back is its lack of difficulty. The main gameplay mode isn’t that exciting, since you’re simply in a square room. If you look at the survival mode, the game never really progresses. There aren’t any “levels”, and there’s only a select number of rooms that you keep on going in and out of. Enemies don’t become much tougher either. The other mode, Time Viking, is the best mode in the game, since it actually has some neat variation. However, these modes aren’t enough to keep the game very enjoyable compared to other titles.

The $0.99 Xbox Live collections continues to grow, with Fruit Ninja joining Angry Birds and other classic mobile games at undercutting the usual $2.99 lowest price point for Xbox Live games.

| Deer Hunter 3D | BattleWagon | Glyder: Adventure World |
Its seems that Microsoft is in fact moving to create a reasonable collection of much cheaper Xbox Live titles. Joining the 6 from 2 weeks ago, Microsoft has dropped the price of 3 more to $0.99 (£0.79), including the popular Glyder: Adventure World game.
See our review of Glyder, which scored 5/5, here and Deer Hunter, which scored 4/5, here.

Xbox LIVE Deal Of The Week In Windows Phone Marketplace: Kinectimals
Kinectimals from Microsoft Studios is now under Xbox Live Deal of the week. The game now costs $1.99 down from its regular price of $2.99. The game was updated last month with Windows Phone Mango features such as Fast app switching, support for live tiles, etc,.
From our review of this game,
The game has some entertaining challenges where you either play fetch with your lion, make him jump the rope, or make him do tricks. These are the heart of the game. Fetch is basically a dumbed down version of Paper Toss, and isn’t as fun. The tricks mode is alright but some of the gestures like the Sit gesture doesn’t work well. However, the jump rope is pretty cool and becomes challenging when the speed of the rope rapidly changes. You can also feed your pet lion, clean him, buy him collars and clothes, and buy him new toys. And there’s also the camera mode where you can take a picture and virtually place your lion in it. Overall, the gameplay is interesting, but nothing super fun.

Game Review: iStunt 2
If you have a newer Windows Phone, I highly recommend this awesome action/arcade snowboarding game!
Overall Score: 4/5
Outstanding gameplay and excellent lasting value. iStunt 2 is now one of my favorite games. However, the frame rate on older Windows Phones suffers.
Gameplay: 5/5
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had an absolute blast playing iStunt 2! This title stands out as one of the better mobile games I’ve played. The controls work perfectly, the variation in gameplay is excellent, and collecting the stars in each level is exciting and challenging. Some levels are fast paced, some are slower and more precise, some are upside-down, some involve tons of flipping….. it’s simply a blast no matter what!
Presentation: 3/5
Unfortunately, iStunt 2′s frame rate suffers on older phones like the HTC Radar. If you have a newer 1.4 GHz processor Windows Phone, I’d recommend this game. Otherwise, be warned that on some intense levels the frame rate will stutter. It’s playable, but it ruins the experience at times, since the game is so fast paced. Otherwise, the music is great and the visuals are excellent.
Lasting Value: 5/5
Playing all the levels will probably take 3 hours, but then the game has great replay value. You can replay levels to try and collect all 10 stars (which requires some skill and knowledge about the tracks), try to get all the achievements, or compete for the highest points score among your friends (by doing flips and tricks in the game).
