Throttle Launcher Released and WP7S Theme

The new Metro UI is the newest part of the Windows Mobile UI family, and with the new Throttle Launcher being released. The theme gives Metro a chance to shine in our WM6.X devices. The new version of throttle launcher that was just recently released already has a WP7S phone theme going for it. The theme was done by an XDA member that is yet to be released.

I am currently standing by to play with the theme on my Touch Pro2, because I am getting bored of the same old. I am ready for a new look on my phone, and since I am going to still buy WP7S, I will have a lot of the same for a long time.

The theme looks very nice, and if you have been itching for the new Metro UI, this might be something you can give a try.

Right on! I love me some Silverlight, but if this can be done on modest WM6.x devices without all the whizbang acceleration the WP7S devices will have, imagine how awesome the abandoned "photon" could have been with the metro UI!

it also goes to show how overboard microsoft is going with the Great Multitasking Debate. Jesus WP7S devices are going to SMOKE what we have now and they are worried about slow performance from multitasking?

Unless you just really like the look of the WP7 home screen, there's not much point to this. It's built around the concept of push notifications, which is redundant in 6.5 since you have true multitasking.

I don't think not true.. TL v1.0 is much faster & reponsive than WAD – I've tested both on on a Topaz – perhaps on low res devices it's the other way about, but that's doubtful
