US Windows Phone 7 ad impressions increased 92% between April and May 2011

More evidence that, despite all of the issues, Windows Phone 7 is catching on has just arrived from Millennial Media.

They report in their monthly Mobile Mix report that while Windows Phone was still only 1% of ad impressions, Windows Phone 7 saw 92% sequential month over month growth.

Over the same period Android was static at 53% and iOS lost 1% to 27%.

It needs to be remembered that these numbers measure installed base, not sales directly, but it does suggest a surge in the number of Windows Phone 7 handsets in circulation in USA at present.
