In a lengthy article about Vertu’s new Android phone, the company claimed it went Android because of “the complexity of building for Windows Phone.”

Given Windows Phone’s rather standardized specs, and that we have already seen Windows Phone 8 running on the same hardware the Android handset is using one has to wonder what they are on about.

Unwiredview speculates that it was in fact all about being allowed to customize the interface, making Vertu ironically just one of hundreds of Android skinners.
