Vodafone support claims Windows Phone 7.8 roll-out has been halted

rollout

Vodafone has been rolling out the Windows Phone 7.8 update in waves to their subscribers, but some owners have noted the their handsets have not been updated despite the milestone dates being passed.

Vodafone Germany support looked into and, and responded today that the Windows Phone 7.8 roll-out has been halted, without a date for its resumption.

Without reasons we are of course free to speculate, and one does wonder if the bugs which have been turning up with the Windows Phone 7.8 live tiles has caused Microsoft to reconsider the roll-out until they issues are sorted.

With the nature of the roll-outs being that the majority of users being updated last, and recent Adduplex data showing only 16% of Windows Phone 7.8 owners being updated to their new OS, it seems most of us will have to keep waiting until Microsoft perfects the software.
