VOIP coming to the WP8 LINE app … eventually

VOIP site Trutowers reports that Naver, the developers of the Windows Phone LINE app, is planning to add VOIP to their Windows Phone and Windows 8 apps, but that these are currently taking backseat to adding video calling to their iOS and Android apps.

Speaking to an official spokesman Naver said the company has plans to “actively improve all” their features on LINE, including the “addition of the voice-calling function across the various platforms” on which LINE is available, including Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8.

While the commitment is nice, we cant help but wish the company would get round to upgrading their Windows Phone app, which only have 3 1/2 out of 5 stars, sooner rather than later.

Thanks Bilesha for the tip.
