What Would Be Your Perfect Windows Phone 7 phone?

Yesterday, after all the noise about the so called “HD3” went down, I got to thinking… What would the most perfect Windows Phone be for me? Now I want you to answer that question in the comments. Write that who you want to make it (hopefully not Apple… unless it will not make calls), the form factor, speed, screen size, and the whole teen yard.

To answer my own question, here is what I think the perfect device would be:

Made: HTC
Form Factor: Thin Touch screen with Keyboard
Speed: 1Ghz (A phone does not really need more than that.. Unless the OS is really heavy)
Screen Size: 3.8-4.2 inch AMOLED (More than that is too much)
Color: Piano Black (PS3 Color)
Band: T-mobile 3G
Camera: 8MP 720P with Dual Flash
HDMI Out: Yes
4G: If possible

That is all I can think of at the moment. If HTC can put that in a good looking Touch Pro2 that is also thin and fast, and to be able to stand in the world of Droid, it most look good enough.

4G: Built in (even for Verizon phones, simply deactivated until network is launched so people can buy phones in September and be able to take advantage of the 4G when it hits in January or so)

They need to also have it with a decent speaker phone. Kickstand would be a plus, but unnecessary.

And the inclusion of a high capacity battery from the get-go is a must. No bs batteries that they put in for weight and cost savings. If I'm getting a brick of a phone, I want it to last.

I would have to say a thinner, lighter Touch Pro 2 with a jog dial and 3.5mm headphone jack of course, HDMI out, DLNA enabled, transreflective screen, 1 Ghz processor with good GPU, 8 megapixel CCD camera with real optics and HD video recording, 32 GB built-in storage + expandable storage, USB Host, consumer infra-red, camera button, camera cover, Xenon flash, pico-projector attachment and docking cradle.

Whats the deal with saying you dont need more than 1ghz? why limit yourself. If you had the option of buying two idential phones one with 1ghz and one with 2ghz…. which would choose…

Well im happy with my HD2's speed, and do not want to have 2 hour battery life…. so whats wrong in that?

Battery life is mainly affected by screen, not cpu. Battery capacity is also growing. Slowly, but growing. Making phones with more than one 1GHz core will not increase power consumption dramatically, but parallel performance will be affected greatly. Augmented Reality apps will take advantage of this, so will games and many more.

The big problem with Snapdragon's is their poor memory throughput. Also, if you had HTC manufacture the device, they would limit the display to 30fps.

For me the most important points are:

- Memory : 32 Go memory already included + possible external SD Card
- Camera : Carl Zeiss Lens + xenon flash (When will we have high quality camera)
- HDMI out: Yes
- Battery: please very high capacity battery. Approximately 2 days. Can't stand to be out of battery in the middle of the afternoon.

What Steve Ballmer said was that a $600 locked phone would not sell.

And guess what. It did not. What did sell was a bargain basement $200 phone which has suppressed the price for all other smartphones, which used to be a lot more expensive.

I guess Steve Jobs believes in stack them high, sell them cheap, which is why his phone is having all these quality problems at the moment. Faulty proximity sensor, yellow pictures, crappy antenna, reversed buttons, wet glue, what next?

Guess what kind of screen the first Windows Mobile phones had in 2003. Maybe one day the iPhone will also evolve into keyboard options.
