Windows 8 to feature Windows Phone 7 live tiles?

Not Windows 8, but it may look similar.

PhoneArena reports on the rumour that the tablet focussed Windows 8 UI is expected to feature large Live Tiles, much like Windows Phone 7.

Apparently this will be the second, finger-focussed “Mosh” user interface which Windows 8 will run in tablet mode, versus a more conventional UI for productivity.

They note the OS may have a dedicated gaming focus and feature a flexible 3D interface, as well as a Windows Marketplace app store, and of course is expected to run on ARM chipsets on tablets.

Recent rumours have seen a leaked Dell roadmap which suggests we may see the first public previews of the OS as soon as September 2011.
