Windows 95 on the HTC HD2
A bit more real than our last video, the above demo shows a pretty functional Windows 95 running in VGA mode on the Qemu processor emulator.
The 1 Ghz processor clearly makes quite a difference, with the desktop OS running fast enough to even play games such as Starcraft on.
Read more on the process of getting this emulator to run on your HTC HD2 in this XDA-Dev thread here.
Now if we could only get a mobile OS X emulator …
That would probably be quite nice with a stylus
That would be the invincible phone if OS X emulator is available…
well… kind of strange to see that here NOW.
peoples managed to run windows95 since 2007/2008 on their much SLOWER devices back then.
last week i started to investigate time into that topic (running Windows on HD2) and atm i got windows 98 on my phone.
working perfect.
next thing is: WindowsXP
just google throught the web, that "windows 95 on a windowsmobile phone" topic is old…very old….
and so easy to use for EVERYONE…
greez
That video was really annoying to watch because the person kept trying to make the mouse click while they were tapping on the onscreen keyboard! arrrrgh! how stupid can you be? Then they move the keyboard and they keep trying to make the mouse click by tapping the keyboard….didn't they realize the keyboard is responding to their taps because they are on the keyboard.
( /sarcastic mode on) thnx jim( /sarcastic mode of)

It would be perfect if they had drivers for a mouse and/or keyboard
