Windows Phone 7 Browser Not As Bad As They Say

Last night Engadget demoed how Windows Phone 7 will hold itself against Blackberry’s latest and greatest OS, and it seems Web browsing is one thing that Microsoft does better. The Engadget show took one Windows Phone 7 prototype and set it head to head versus the new Blackberry 6 device, and wow did the crackberry get its manhood taken away. The device’s panning, zooming, rendering, and even more responsive. Now this is something we should be proud of, and the worst part about this is… The Windows Phone 7 prototype is a Prototype. It is unfinished, but yet is still better than what took Blackberry quite some time.

It is nothing really big, but it is pretty cool knowing that even without being complete, Microsoft’s latest is owning anything that comes its way.

Well… can we be proud of something we had nothing to do with creating? The Microsoft people should feel really good though. Engadget were not nice to the Torch

to me BB OS isn't exactly a multimedia force…nor is web browsing for BB users…

Can it compete with Froyo or iOS? thats what we need to know because if it cannot, then it continues to lose market share to those.

Isn't the browser in BB6 webkit? Or at the least I know it supports html5, so that should say something about how MIE in WP7 is at least.

also take note…BB was on 3G while WP7 on wifi…which does make a huge difference.

the point that engadget made was about processing the information, not downloading. when you panned around the screen, you still saw the checkerboard….
