Windows Phone 7 desktop synchronization demoed on video

Pocketnow have published the above video, showing the latest version of the Zune desktop software, version 4.7 (the publicly available version is 4.2).

I must admit to some disappointment that synchronizing a piece of music to your phone requires a right click menu item – the option should be a one-click somewhere in the user interface. Hopefully WIFI synching will be fully sorted out well before release.

Be sure to watch the video full screen in HD to get a good appreciation of the software in action.

Errr. you say you want one click, how about dragging to the device icon in the lower left corner, which it states all over the zune app when you load it up… its easy.

Plus, if you looked closely in the settings, you can put it on automatic. Much easier anyway

Yeah, I recommend anyone that can to actually try the software. I find it much better the iTunes.
As the folks above stated, you can drag-n-drop. I believe you can click an sync icon next to the content and there seems to be sync groups for the phones as well.

But, if the right-click syncing is the worst of it… I would say we're in pretty good shape. :0)

I've been using the Zune software without a Zune device since version 4.0 to manage my music. I love it, now just to get a WP7 device so I can also listen on the go and so on.

wireless sync works with the zune when you plug into a power outlet
for example when you come home from work you plug you phone in to the power outlet and it will start syncing
you can do this without the power but you must manualy tell the device sync now not the pc..

Surur, I'm surprised. Don't you use the Zune software? You should know better. Any piece of media can be dragged to the lower left hand device icon, can't get simpler than that.

Been using Zune since 4.0, love it! Used to use Winamp before that.

But why doesn't the Zune software use aero borders. I think the software should melt in with all the Windows Live Wave 4 products, now it looks like an isolated software and yet another music manager forced upon us in addition to Windows Media Player and iTunes. I know some people like the look, but sorry I don't like it, it goes against every user interface principle in the rest of Windows and it's just confusing and odd.

It uses the Metro interface which looks great, is the same as WP7 & Zune, and there are already some other apps with the Metro UI available (ex. the great Twitter client http://www.metrotwit.com/ )
