Windows Phone 7 Translate Application

Having a new application video everyday is making me very itchy for the latest Windows product, and this one uses a little Bing software and translates information for you. This software is a speech translator, that you type in some stuff and the phone reads it back to you in the right language.

According to the developer 11 languages will be having voice support (en, de, es, fr, it, pt, ru, ja, ko, zh_chs, zh-cht) and text translation would be available for 32 languages.

Wow, that's pretty cool, if only computer voice synthesisers were improving as rapidly as everything else; perhaps I just don't know of developments in this area yet.

this is something thats starting to erk me now….it seems that devs doesn't know that you can include ur own button images in apps….the apps doesn't have to be just black. what happen to creativity? maybe most wm/wp devs have great ideas but lack aesthetics

Software coders can't do good UI, and UI designers can't do good code. I thought this was more or less a fact by now? heh. That's why frameworks like .NET and SL try to take the coding part out and let the UI designers have more control with apps like Expression Blend.

yeah, but it any dev who is going to release an app that doesn't look good how does he/she expect it to sell? it should be high time that devs start linking up with good UI desingers. that should be a rule of thumb by now

Text support for 32 languages – cool, but how in the world are users supposed to input that text without keyboard support? WP7 only supports 5 languages.
