Xperiancers shuts down, with it the X2 support promises?

xperiancersshutdown Sony Ericsson is shutting down its Xperiancers blog. Citing the increased importance of its Xperia brand as embodies in its X10 series, the company has now decided to move the content over to its product blog.

With the heavy emphasis on the Xperia X10 one wonders if the blog’s promises to support the Xperia X2 will also similarly vanish. An update to the little known Windows Mobile 6.5.2 has been promised in February this year to arrive in March, leaving SE with only 1.5 days to make good on it, which seems rather unlikely. In that context a Windows Mobile 6.5.3 upgrade in May, also promised by Sony Ericsson on the Xperiancers blog, seems even less so.

Hopefully the company will still make good on its promises, and not repeat its X1 mistake, which it itself acknowledged “attracted some criticism”.

I think anyone buying an SE handset running any OS but WM in particular has made a grave mistake, they have consistently managed to mess things up and as is now clear again their latest promise to update the X2 will be broken. Throw that POS in the bin and get something worth buying, like a Razr!!

i'm not suprise that website shuts down! that site is all garbage!
i still recall them saying "X1 has shipped to store!" but it takes over 30days to appear in store! i guess they really mean it, by "ships". haha

Fully agree, I've been trying to find some trace of any X2 comment into this new blog, not even a small comment ! Xperia X2 has been my first experience into SE world, and coming from HTC, believe me it will be the last !
In the meantime my X2 keeps on freezing (when not having a proper debugged SW, they should have thought of adding a reset button instead of need to open battery cover to remove it …)
I'm soooo dissappointed with this nice piece of … stone ! (pity SE designs such a nice phone and then do not properly debug the software …)
