Yet more Pure/Turtle

Since this seems to be a slow news Sunday, I thought I’d post some more of my Pure/Turtle findings.

Perhaps the most intriguing is mention of “Pride” as a third device. There are a series of settings which include Pure, Turtle, and then Pride. I know nothing more about this, but there could be three Project Pink devices at launch.

The devices are also likely to be packed with sensors, I found mention of the following:

AK8973 3-Axis digital compass
Proximity Sensor
Light Sensor
There’s also mention of an HDRadio

And, as a final thing, I’m fairly sure these are based of an NVIDIA APX chipset, when things like “[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\NVDDI]” are present.

do you have your hands on the sys/xip for one of those devices?
that's 4 sensors and no gSensor?
what about screen resolution?
does the interface have xml based elements or is it all silverlight based?

nvidia apx, it's definitely Tegra based then. the zune showed that the tegra is a good chip.

There may be a gsensor, not checked that.
320×240 (QVGA) for Pure, 320×480 (HVGA) for Turtle.
The UI appears to be XAML based if that helps.

It may be one of the low end Tegra chips, haven't done enough digging to find out which one.

QVGA is kinda disappointing… the sidekick 2009 had FWVGA and now the turtle has only HVGA. Hope the pride is the real high end one.
